Castaway has been a Burbank landmark for decades, originally opening as a restaurant before evolving into one of the San Fernando Valley's premier event venues. Its hilltop location on Harvard Road, above the DeBell Golf Club, was chosen specifically for the unobstructed panoramic views that have become the venue's signature. The property underwent a significant renovation that modernized the interiors while preserving the open, view-centric design. Today, Castaway is managed by a professional events team that handles everything from catering to coordination, and they're experienced in working with outside entertainment vendors like photo booth operators. The venue's proximity to Burbank's major studios also means it regularly hosts entertainment industry events.

Setup & Logistics

Castaway's hilltop location requires vendors to drive up a winding road to the venue. We arrive early to account for the approach and use the venue's loading area for efficient setup. Inside, booth placement is coordinated with the venue's events manager based on the room layout and event flow. For terrace setups, we secure all equipment against occasional hilltop breezes. Power access is excellent throughout the venue, and the events staff is accommodating with vendor load-in times. We typically recommend setting up 90 minutes before guest arrival.
